MEET THE FOUNDER

Anneclaire Nelson created ACE to bring people together through movement—with every beat, breath, and breakthrough shared in community. A professional dancer and expert trainer with over 20 years of experience, she has trained A-list clients and worked with top fitness brands across LA, NYC, and Miami. In 2022, she returned to South Carolina to launch ACE: a method rooted in rhythm, connection, and lasting strength.

our story

ACE began on Sullivan’s Island, in a small studio by the water—a space where Anneclaire’s vision could take shape. For two years, that studio served as a creative sanctuary, where the method was nurtured, refined, and shared with a growing community. In March 2024, we opened the doors to our permanent home at 695 Meeting Street in Charleston—a state-of-the-art space designed to hold the energy, intention, and evolution of ACE.

what should i wear?

Come dressed to sweat! Wear athletic shoes and clothing that allow you to move freely.

do I need to bring a mat?

Mats, towels, and 3-5 lb ankle weights are provided.

why is the workout heated?

Moving in a heated space adds an additional cardio element to the class while warming the muscles. The added heat also creates a sweat factor that aids in the detoxifying of the body while boosting mood and energy.

What role does music play in the workout?

ACE is a dance-based workout driven by music, creating a “dance party while working out” energy. Your heart rate will be raised, and you’ll be singing along. Coming to ACE feels like listening to a fun playlist, dancing, and becoming stronger with your friends.
